Turn On, Tune In, Frizz Out…
When the world gives you muscat, make Frizzante!
No matter what the world throws at us, good or bad, popping the cap on a frizzante is the right answer. Sometimes, we take ourselves and our wines too seriously. The antidote is to have good ole’ non-cerebral fun with a purely delicious, spritzy and joyous beverage.
Let’s face it: the news has been pretty distressing lately. If you want to change your mood, frizz out! Your kid finally graduated from college, frizz out! You became engaged, frizz out! The stock market crashed, frizz out! Any excuse is a great excuse to pop the cap on Letter 23 Frizzante!
As challenging as the times have been lately, there were times when things were worse. When Shuggie Otis wrote “Strawberry Letter 23” for his 1971 album Freedom Flight, we were in the middle of tumultuous civil rights and compulsive service-driven social upheaval with a seemingly never-ending war in a faraway land. Yet he found the time and the desire to write this sweet, uplifting (and slightly psychedelic) song to his love. We need to take his lead by celebrating the positive while leaving behind the negative, even if it is just for a few hours with a nice cold frizz-out session!
