Basic Vinegar Pickle Liquid
Yield: Enough for 2 pints of pickles
Ingredients
- 1½ cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup kosher salt
Directions
Place all of the ingredients in a small pan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and stir until all of the solids are dissolved. Remove from heat and reserve at room temperature.
Note: Any leftover pickling liquid can be stored in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
